About this role
You'll be supporting oral surgeons at the clinical level, managing everything from room preparation and instrument sterilization to chairside assistance during procedures. The role demands strong organizational skills and attention to detail—you'll be responsible for maintaining OSHA compliance, stocking emergency supplies, monitoring nitrous oxide safety, and taking and processing x-rays. Patient communication is part of the job too, as you'll counsel patients on post-procedure care and explain treatment instructions.
This is an entry-level position, but it requires you to already hold an active Tennessee Registered Dental Assistant license with radiology and nitrous oxide monitoring certifications. You'll need solid computer skills, particularly with electronic health records, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a surgical team. The position is based in Kingsport and may occasionally require evening hours.
