About this role
Onsemi is seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Manager in San Jose to lead system architecture for next-generation power electronics, particularly in AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion for automotive and industrial applications. You'll own architectural decisions across the full product lifecycle—from concept through production—while balancing competing demands around power efficiency, thermal performance, cost, and safety. This role sits at the intersection of technical strategy and customer collaboration, requiring you to translate OEM and market needs into modular, scalable system designs while working closely with product, design, systems, software, and validation teams.
The ideal candidate brings proven experience architecting high-voltage power electronics systems in safety-critical automotive or industrial environments, with hands-on expertise in drivers and controllers, electrical and thermal modeling, and bench testing. You'll need demonstrated leadership managing cross-functional engineering teams and a track record of working directly with Tier 1 OEMs on complex system integration. Strong communication skills are essential—you'll distill technical complexity into customer-ready specifications and represent technical strategy in external engagements. While functional safety experience (ISO 26262, ASIL-C/D) is preferred rather than required, familiarity with emerging technologies like SiC and GaN semiconductors and datacenter power architecture would strengthen your candidacy.
This full-time, in-office position offers a base salary of $151,455–$272,550 depending on location, experience, and skills, plus a competitive benefits package. You'll work on technologies central to vehicle electrification, industrial automation, and AI infrastructure—areas where onsemi is actively shaping industry direction.
