About this role

Onsemi is seeking an experienced analog design engineer to own the full lifecycle of power management IC development, from defining system-level requirements with customers and marketing through silicon implementation and production support. This role demands deep expertise in mixed-signal design—particularly in power management building blocks like regulators, gate drivers, and charge pumps—combined with the ability to drive projects from concept through first-pass silicon success. You'll work across schematic design, simulation, layout coordination, and verification using industry-standard tools like Cadence and Simplis, while managing technical scope, schedules, and team coordination.

The position requires at least eight years of professional experience in mixed-signal design with a proven track record of shipping complex IPs. You should have strong fundamentals in CMOS circuit design, familiarity with advanced process technologies (Bipolar, CMOS, BCD), and hands-on experience debugging silicon issues. Knowledge of emerging technologies like SiC/GaN drivers and LED applications is valued. Beyond technical depth, the role emphasizes clear communication across functions, project planning discipline, and the ability to balance innovation with manufacturing realities.

Based in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, this is a full-time in-office position with a salary range of $127,800 to $219,000, plus a competitive benefits package. The role suits engineers who thrive owning technical outcomes end-to-end and can navigate the complexity of translating ambitious designs into reliable, manufacturable products.
