About this role

Leading Onsemi's analog design team in Limerick means owning both the people and the technical strategy behind complex power management ICs. You'd manage a mixed-experience engineering group, mentor junior talent into senior contributors, and drive the architecture and circuit design from specification through to market release. This combines hands-on technical leadership—debugging silicon problems, guiding design methodology choices, collaborating with systems teams on tradeoffs—with the full scope of program ownership: scheduling, resource planning, roadmap definition aligned to market trends and customer needs.

The role demands deep expertise across power converter topologies, control mechanisms, and analog building blocks, paired with mastery of the design tools and semiconductor physics that underpin modern IC development. You'd need to synthesize complex technical problems into executable team efforts while clearly communicating challenges upward. Success requires at least 18 years of experience (or 15 with a master's degree), a proven track record shipping complex ICs, and the rare combination of strong analog design skills with the ability to attract and retain engineering talent in a competitive field.

This is an in-office position in Ireland, suited to someone ready to step into a director-level technical role where IC design expertise and people leadership are equally weighted.
