About this role
American Eagle Outfitters is seeking a Director-level Associate General Counsel to lead corporate and strategic transactions work across its multi-brand retail portfolio. Based in Pittsburgh and reporting into the legal department, this role sits at the intersection of business development and legal strategy, handling the transactional matters that support AEO's growth across its American Eagle, Aerie, and other owned brands, as well as its international licensing and retail operations in the US, Canada, Mexico and beyond.
This is a full-time, in-office position suited to an experienced transactional attorney with the judgment and business acumen to advise senior leadership on complex deals and strategic initiatives. You would own corporate transactions from structuring through close, working closely with finance, business units, and external counsel as needed. The role demands someone comfortable operating at the director level within a larger legal function and capable of balancing multiple priorities across a geographically dispersed, multi-brand organization.
