About this role

FDB maintains the drug and medical device knowledge that powers clinical decision-making across thousands of hospitals, health plans, pharmacies, and healthcare systems worldwide. As a Clinical Informatics Pharmacist Specialist, you'd work on the content side of this operation—using your clinical pharmacy background to evaluate evidence, maintain and improve FDB's clinical databases, and collaborate with the teams that help customers apply this data in their systems. The role is entry-level and based in either Carmel, Indiana or South San Francisco, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days onsite per week.

The day-to-day work involves content maintenance using established procedures, source research, and basic SQL analysis, alongside occasional use of enterprise AI tools for clinical research and literature review. You'll need to communicate evidence-based conclusions clearly, meet accuracy and productivity standards, and take on increasing independence as you build knowledge of FDB's data architecture and how customers use it. Travel is occasional, primarily for company all-hands meetings and continuing education.

This position requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, active state licensure, and a minimum of three years of clinical experience (which may include residency). You should be comfortable with MS Office, SQL-based analysis, and working collaboratively within established procedures while managing competing priorities. The salary range is $124,000 to $160,000, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) match.
