About this role

CBIZ is seeking a Business Development Associate to build and nurture strategic partnerships within the property and casualty sector. You'll spend your time prospecting for new clients, researching market opportunities, and working alongside the operations team to craft solutions that address prospect and client needs. The role requires you to stay current on industry trends and competitive developments, then translate that intelligence into actionable insights that inform both client conversations and internal strategy.

This position suits someone with less than three years of business development experience who is comfortable managing multiple priorities independently and as part of a team. You'll need strong communication skills across all organizational levels, proficiency with CRM systems and relevant technology, and a demonstrated ability to hit sales targets. The role is based in Minneapolis and requires occasional travel to meet with clients and prospects.

CBIZ is a large, established professional services firm with deep expertise across accounting, tax, advisory, and insurance. This is a full-time, in-office role where you'd contribute to marketing strategy development and help identify ways to improve the firm's service offerings based on direct market feedback.
