About this role
CBIZ is seeking a Manager for its Talent Solutions team in San Francisco to lead client engagements, oversee staff delivery, and drive new business development. This seasonal, full-time role is based in-office and sits at the intersection of client advisory work and team leadership. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for multiple clients, managing the scope and quality of deliverables—from financial statements and tax returns to work papers—while ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. The position requires you to combine technical expertise with strategic thinking, identifying client issues and proactively recommending solutions across CBIZ's service offerings.
The role demands strong supervisory skills. You'll manage and mentor staff on engagement work, conduct technical and strategic reviews as part of the final quality control process, and foster a collaborative team environment. Responsibility for billing, realization tracking, and explaining variances means you'll need comfort with the financial side of client management. You're also expected to contribute to business development—participating in client meetings, proposals, and cross-service opportunities alongside upper management.
To qualify, you'll need a bachelor's degree, five years of relevant professional experience, and three years in a supervisory capacity. Required licenses must be maintained. Strong communication skills across all organizational levels, proficiency with applicable technology, and willingness to travel for client needs are essential. This is a fit for someone with a solid foundation in accounting, tax, or advisory work who's ready to step into a leadership role managing both client relationships and people.
