About this role

At CBIZ's San Francisco office, this role leads technical accounting engagements for high-growth companies navigating complex financial reporting challenges—from SEC compliance and IPO preparation to U.S. GAAP and IFRS implementation. You'll own client relationships and engagement execution, working with senior finance teams to solve intricate accounting problems while managing a team of managers and staff. The position blends hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibility, requiring you to drive audit procedures, prepare regulatory filings, and identify opportunities to expand service offerings.

This opportunity suits someone with 7+ years of accounting or consulting experience, a CPA license, and at least 5 years managing people. You'll need strong command of U.S. GAAP, solid communication skills across all organizational levels, and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines. Industry experience and knowledge of IFRS are valued, as is an advanced degree. The role is hybrid based in San Francisco, though CBIZ remains open to remote arrangements for qualified candidates.
