About this role

CBIZ is seeking a Commercial Lines Producer to drive new business growth across their Kansas City office. This is a full-cycle sales role where you'll own the entire process—from cold outreach and discovery conversations through negotiation and close—with a focus on building a strong pipeline of commercial prospects and securing net-new client partnerships. You'll position yourself as a trusted advisor, delivering tailored risk management and insurance solutions to executive-level decision-makers at target organizations while consistently hitting annual production goals.

Success in this role requires a proactive, self-directed approach to prospecting and pipeline management. You'll leverage personal networks, centers of influence, internal partnerships, and marketing initiatives to identify opportunities, then track all activity in Salesforce and manage client information through Sagitta or similar P&C systems. Beyond closing deals, you'll collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client handoffs, identify cross-sell opportunities across CBIZ's service lines, and provide market intelligence to leadership on competitive trends and pricing.

The position requires an active Property & Casualty license (or the ability to obtain one), a bachelor's degree preferred, and proven success in B2B commercial sales—ideally within insurance brokerage or professional services. You'll need strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency with relevant technology, and willingness to travel as business demands. This is an in-office, full-time role based in Kansas City.
