About this role
At CBIZ's New Haven office, this senior manager role centers on leading business valuation engagements from start to finish—developing financial analyses, building valuation models, and producing reports for a diverse client base including private equity firms and publicly-traded companies. You'll review opposing experts' valuations, prepare exhibits and testimony support for litigation, and work with discovery teams on document reconciliation. The position requires you to master both standard and complex valuation techniques, including option pricing models and Monte Carlo analysis, while identifying issues and improvement opportunities that get escalated to partners.
The role demands at least eight years in public accounting with five years in a supervisory capacity, plus an active CPA or equivalent certification. A master's degree in finance or accounting is preferred, as is experience valuing alternative asset managers like hedge funds and private equity. You'll need strong communication skills across all organizational levels, the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, and comfort with travel. Beyond technical expertise, you're expected to mentor staff, monitor engagement profitability and compliance, and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and client confidentiality.
This is an in-office position in Connecticut with a firm that operates across 23 major markets and employs over 9,500 professionals. It suits someone with solid forensic accounting credentials who's ready to take on leadership responsibilities while continuing to develop specialized valuation expertise.
