BHE Renewables is seeking a Measurement Analyst to own the accuracy and integrity of volumetric data across its natural gas pipeline system. You'll be the central point of contact for measurement information—both internally and externally—responsible for maintaining historical databases, resolving data discrepancies, and ensuring pipeline balance calculations are sound. The role involves processing measurement data from multiple sources, identifying and correcting anomalies, managing custody transfer volumes for billing, and maintaining the official record of all measurement documents for contractual and potential litigation purposes.
The position demands strong analytical skills and comfort with rapid problem-solving under deadline pressure, particularly during month-end close cycles when you may need to work extended hours. You'll collaborate closely with field operations, IT staff, and internal customers to troubleshoot electronic flow measurement issues, validate gas quality data, and implement system enhancements. Writing procedures, training others on measurement processes, and providing technical input on project planning round out the responsibilities.
Entry-level candidates (Analyst I) need zero to two years of energy industry measurement experience, while Analyst II requires three to five years and Senior Analyst requires five or more. A bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is preferred, though equivalent work experience can substitute. You'll need advanced Excel and Word proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt as measurement technology evolves. This is a full-time, in-office role in Omaha, Nebraska.
