About this role

BHE Renewables is seeking a senior trainer to build and lead the engineering and technical training function across its operations. You would own curriculum development, delivery, and continuous improvement for both employees and contractors, working closely with subject matter experts to keep training aligned with industry standards like DOT, FERC, and OSHA as well as company procedures. The role extends to managing the engineering intern program, overseeing new hire onboarding and workspace setup, and sponsoring process improvements—making you a key figure in how the technical teams develop and stay current.

This position requires deep expertise in gas pipeline operations or a closely related technical field, backed by at least six years of hands-on experience. You'll need three or more years specifically in technical training, mentoring, or supervision, plus a bachelor's degree in business, education, instructional design, engineering, or a related discipline. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as you'll be designing and delivering material to diverse audiences and building relationships across departments and with external industry contacts.

The role is based in Omaha, Nebraska and requires in-office presence. It suits someone who combines technical credibility with instructional capability—someone who can translate complex standards into effective training, manage budgets and programs, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within a large, established pipeline infrastructure company.
