TRAINER, SYSTEM OPERATOR (4006)
Primary responsibility is to conduct system operations training associated with Nevada Power Company, doing business as NV Energy, ESCC Transmission and Distribution Operations, including development, updating, recordkeeping and staying current with training needs. Must hold highest NERC certification. Must maintain qualifications or become a qualified trainer for any applicable Transmission or Distribution Operations courses, including NERC or WECC courses. Must be able to satisfactorily perform as a Distribution/Transmission Operator. The trainer may be required to be placed on shift on occasion. Performs additional Transmission Operation duties as required.

The position centers on developing and delivering training for the ESCC Transmission and Distribution Operations teams, with responsibility for curriculum development, updates, record maintenance, and ensuring training stays aligned with operational needs. You'll need to hold the highest NERC certification and maintain or obtain qualifications as a trainer across relevant Transmission and Distribution Operations courses, including those offered by NERC and WECC.
This role requires hands-on operational expertise—you must be able to perform satisfactorily as a Distribution or Transmission Operator yourself, and may occasionally be placed on shift. You'll also handle additional transmission operations duties as needed. The position is based in Las Vegas and is full-time, in-office work.
This is a fit for someone with strong NERC credentials and practical experience in transmission or distribution operations who is ready to transition into training and development while maintaining operational capability.
