You'll manage the full spectrum of community engagement, from identifying local influencers and planning facility tours to responding to stakeholder concerns and coordinating with internal project teams.
Success in this position requires strong communication and presentation skills, proven ability to manage multiple priorities, and genuine effectiveness in building trust across diverse audiences. The role demands 6 to 10+ years of related experience depending on the level (associate, manager, or senior manager), with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, agriculture, business, or a related field—or equivalent work experience. You should be comfortable with frequent travel, typically 25%, and prepared to work outside standard business hours when needed.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Des Moines. It suits someone with a track record in community relations, government affairs, or stakeholder engagement who understands rural contexts and is energized by the intersection of business development and public trust.
