About this role
AAR Corp. is seeking an Alternate Lead Avionics Technician to support aircraft maintenance operations at its Oklahoma City facility. In this role, you'll work alongside the Lead Avionics Technician to ensure airworthiness standards are met before aircraft leave the maintenance bay. Your responsibilities include setting work priorities, maintaining quality oversight, and managing equipment and safety protocols—work that requires both technical expertise and the ability to coordinate effectively with others.
This position demands at least two years of hands-on avionics experience plus current FAA Airframe certification (or equivalent credentials like a Repairman Certificate and FCC Certificate). You'll need strong leadership instincts, self-direction, and solid judgment to manage competing priorities and problem-solve under pressure. The role is physically demanding, involving frequent lifting up to 40 pounds, work at heights, extended periods in confined spaces, and exposure to vibration and environmental conditions.
AAR offers competitive bi-weekly pay, comprehensive health coverage, a 401(k) match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and on-site gym access. The position requires passing a DOT drug screen, background check, and employment verification before your start date, as well as obtaining a Will Rogers World Airport badge within 30 days.
