About this role
AAR Corp. is hiring an Aircraft Interior Alternate Lead to oversee technician teams and ensure quality aircraft maintenance work in Oklahoma City. You'd supervise up to 10 technicians, establish work priorities, manage paperwork and documentation, and interact with customer representatives—essentially serving as the lead's backup while maintaining the high standards required in aviation maintenance.
The role demands at least two years of aviation maintenance experience and FAA Airframe certification or a Repairman's Certificate, along with solid knowledge of FAA regulations. Beyond technical qualifications, you'll need proven leadership skills, the ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure, and strong time management to juggle multiple priorities and tight deadlines. A Powerplant (A&P) license and valid driver's license are preferred.
The position is hands-on and physically demanding. You'll regularly lift up to 40 pounds, work at heights, climb ladders and scaffolding, and spend extended time in confined spaces, at overhead positions, and on uneven surfaces. This is a full-time, in-office role in Oklahoma City.
