About this role
AAR Corp is hiring an A&P Mechanic for line maintenance support of U.S. Marshals aircraft in Oklahoma City. You'll work the early shift (starting at 5 a.m., with variations based on flight schedules) performing pre-flight, post-flight, and in-flight inspections, managing aircraft paperwork, and executing repairs to keep aircraft mission-ready. The role requires you to exercise full A&P privileges, work from FAA-approved technical data, and handle everything from rigging to systems diagnostics across fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and pressurization components.
This position demands at least five years of aviation maintenance experience and a current A&P license, along with U.S. citizenship and willingness to undergo a government background check and DOT drug screening. You'll work independently on heavy line maintenance tasks with minimal supervision, so reliability, accuracy, and a strong work ethic are essential. The job is physically demanding—expect frequent lifting up to 40 pounds, extended work at heights and in confined spaces, climbing, and exposure to weather conditions.
This role suits experienced mechanics comfortable with federal operations and the early-morning schedule who want stable, hands-on work maintaining military aircraft. An active security clearance is a plus but not required.
