About this role
AAR Corp. is hiring experienced aircraft maintenance technicians for their Oklahoma City operation at Will Rogers World Airport. This Aircraft Mechanic I role is designed for seasoned professionals with FAA Airframe certification and at least five years of aviation maintenance experience. You'll work full-time on a variable schedule (typically 40–50 hours per week across first or second shift), performing heavy maintenance tasks with minimal supervision, including flight control and engine rigging, airframe repairs, and troubleshooting. The position requires proficiency with FAA-approved technical data, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strict quality and safety standards in compliance with Airworthiness Standards and FAA regulations.
The role demands physical capability—you'll frequently lift up to 40 pounds, work at heights, in confined spaces, and on ladders or scaffolding, with exposure to vibrations and varying environmental conditions. Beyond technical skills, AAR values dependability, attention to detail, and self-motivation; you'll need fluency in English and solid computer skills for documentation and technical systems. A Powerplant license and valid driver's license are preferred but not required.
AAR offers competitive bi-weekly pay, comprehensive health and dental coverage, a 401(k) match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and on-site gym access. Hiring is contingent on DOT drug screening, background check, employment verification, and obtaining a Will Rogers World Airport badge. U.S. work authorization and E-Verify clearance are mandatory.
