About this role

BHE Renewables is seeking a manager to lead transmission and distribution asset management efforts, overseeing a team responsible for managing system reliability and investment decisions. The role involves developing and publishing annual reliability and risk management plans, guiding capital and operating budgets based on asset performance data, and serving as a technical witness during rate cases. You'll establish the scope of managed assets across the T&D system, oversee data quality for equipment like transformers, breakers, and poles, and develop criticality and health matrices to inform decision-making. The position also requires monitoring outage data, recommending improvements to inspection and monitoring programs, and ensuring compliance across all asset management initiatives.

This position calls for either a bachelor's degree plus six years of related experience (three in a lead role) or ten years of experience without the degree, with at least five years in engineering, operations, maintenance, or asset management within the electric utility industry. You'll need strong analytical and communication skills, hands-on knowledge of T&D equipment performance and reliability engineering, and proficiency with asset management applications and standard office software. The role is based in Las Vegas but remote-eligible, with minimal travel required.

Note that BHE Renewables does not sponsor immigration work authorization at this time, so applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States.
