About this role
AAR Corp. is seeking an Aircraft Sheet Metal Alternate Lead to support heavy maintenance operations at its Oklahoma City facility. In this role, you would assist the primary lead by establishing work priorities, ensuring quality standards are met, and performing complex sheet metal maintenance tasks independently. You'll work directly with FAA-approved technical documentation including IPCs, maintenance manuals, and service bulletins, and take responsibility for accurate aircraft paperwork that directly impacts safety and delivery schedules.
This position suits someone with strong technical skills in aircraft maintenance who is also ready to step into a leadership capacity. You should be detail-oriented, self-directed enough to work without close supervision, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards. The role emphasizes both technical competence and softer skills—you'll need solid communication abilities, the initiative to anticipate problems, and the reliability to follow through on commitments. This is a full-time, in-office role in Oklahoma City.
