About this role

Acturhire's 10-week summer internship places you within the Actuarial Delivery Group in Philadelphia, working directly on client-facing projects rather than pursuing the traditional exam-heavy actuarial track. The role suits quantitatively strong students—those majoring in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields with a 3.0+ GPA—who are at least sophomores and graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. You'll need to be available full-time from June 1 through August 6, 2027, and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Day-to-day, you'll apply analytical problem-solving in a business context, often collaborating with client teams while also managing independent work. Strong communication skills matter as much as technical ability—you'll interact across organizational levels and need to demonstrate a genuine orientation toward client delivery. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential, and success hinges on being organized, detail-oriented, and managing your time effectively across competing priorities.

The internship offers exposure to how actuarial work operates outside the exam pipeline, with retirement benefits including a 401(k) and pension plan available during your tenure. This is a structured early-career program designed to give you a realistic sense of the field before committing to further credentials.
