About this role
Acturhire is recruiting interns for its Actuarial Delivery Group in Detroit for a 10-week summer program (June–August 2027). You'll work in-office on client-facing actuarial projects, applying quantitative skills to real business problems. The role suits current college students or recent graduates with strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related quantitative fields—and notably, Acturhire is specifically looking for candidates who do not plan to pursue actuarial exams, making this a good fit if you're interested in the technical and delivery side of actuarial work without exam-track pressure.
The internship emphasizes both independent problem-solving and collaborative teamwork. You'll need solid communication skills to interact across organizational levels, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Prior work experience demonstrating technical or client service capability is preferred, as is completion of at least one actuarial exam, though these are not strict requirements. A minimum 3.0 GPA and legal authorization to work in the US indefinitely (without sponsorship) are required.
Acturhire, part of Willis Towers Watson, offers interns access to retirement benefits including a 401(k) and pension plan, plus flexible working arrangements. The position demands full availability for the entire 10-week duration starting June 1, 2027.
