About this role
Acturhire is seeking a Senior Broker for Construction in Philadelphia to manage casualty liability insurance placements for design and construction clients. You'll need a P&C license, 7–15 years of broker experience, and deep expertise in construction-related GL, workers' comp, auto, and excess liability products. The role demands strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, solid presentation abilities, and meticulous attention to detail—you'll be explaining insurance principles to clients, navigating placement workflows, and working largely independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
This position offers a base salary of $200,000–$250,000 annually plus short-term incentive bonuses, with a comprehensive benefits package covering medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid leave. The hybrid arrangement in Philadelphia gives you flexibility to balance remote and in-office work based on team and client needs. A Risk Management or Insurance degree is preferred, and familiarity with Excel is a plus, though the core requirement is your ability to sell, negotiate, and manage complex casualty placements in the construction space.
