About this role

Nicola Real Estate, the $10 billion real estate division of Nicola Wealth, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial operations across its portfolio of income-producing and development properties in Canada and the U.S. You would oversee month-end closes at the property and fund level, perform detailed NAV calculations, manage tax reporting and capital reconciliations, and prepare analyses and reports for internal and external stakeholders. The role blends hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities—you'll mentor junior accounting staff while driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and systems implementations that support the team's growth.

This position requires a CPA designation and at least five years of accounting experience, including audit work. Yardi software familiarity and strong Excel skills are important assets. You'll work hybrid from Nicola Wealth's downtown Vancouver office, collaborating closely with development, acquisition, asset management, and property management teams on complex transactions and monthly reviews. The salary range is $95,000 to $115,000, with access to profit sharing, benefits, and share ownership programs from day one.

The role suits someone who thrives in a growing, dynamic environment and wants to make a tangible impact on systems and processes while building relationships across a real estate organization. If you have the technical foundation and interest in both the detail work and the strategic improvements that come with scaling a finance function, this is worth exploring.
