About this role

Art of Problem Solving is expanding its computer science offerings, and this role sits at the center of that growth. As a Curriculum Developer II, you'll move beyond entry-level work to own the full lifecycle of course development—from creating new materials and refining existing ones based on real classroom feedback to mentoring junior developers. You'll need strong computer science fundamentals and the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging content that works for K-12 students, whether you're writing problems, designing puzzles, or occasionally teaching the material yourself to understand your audience firsthand.

The position suits someone with one to two years of teaching or curriculum development experience in computer science who thrives on collaboration and iteration. You'll work closely with instructors, stakeholders, and peers, incorporating their feedback while also reviewing others' work. The role demands creativity and attention to detail—the ability to craft original problems and catch the small things that make materials clear and usable. This is a hybrid position in San Diego with a salary range of $90k–$110k, solid benefits including medical and dental options, 401k matching, and genuine flexibility around scheduling.
