About this role

Strive Health's Medical Assistant role centers on supporting kidney care patients across multiple settings—from telehealth visits to clinics, partner offices, and patient homes in the Detroit area. You'll handle a mix of clinical and administrative work: taking vital signs and performing phlebotomy, managing patient intake and scheduling, documenting medical records, and assisting Nurse Practitioners with patient outreach and care coordination. The position is hybrid, meaning you'll split time between remote work and in-person visits, requiring reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel across your assigned region.

The role expects at least two years of related education or experience plus current BLS or CPR certification. A formal medical assistant program credential (CAAHEP or ABHES) is required, and RMA or CMA certification is preferred. You'll need solid computer skills, reliable internet (minimum 3.8 Mbps download, 3.0 Mbps upload), and strong communication abilities to work with patients and cross-functional teams. The position pays $22.12–$25.00 per hour depending on location, experience, and qualifications, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401k match, paid time off, and professional development support.
