Key Responsibilities
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Weekly travel throughout designated region, with overnight travel required, hotel and company vehicle provided.
- Perform physically demanding rooftop tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, and working in varied weather conditions.
- Communicate clearly in both written and oral forms.
- Use technology effectively (smartphone/tablet); tool knowledge a plus.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital reporting tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
- Commercial roofing or construction experience is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail and reliability

About this role
RoofingSource is hiring a Field Advisor in Detroit to handle roof system repairs, maintenance, and grease containment services across the region. You'll spend most of your time on rooftops performing physically demanding work—lifting, climbing, bending—in all weather conditions. The role requires a valid driver's license and clean driving record, as you'll travel weekly throughout your designated area with occasional overnight trips (the company provides a vehicle and covers hotel costs). You'll also manage digital reporting, communicate directly with clients, and collaborate with the Field Support team to refine processes.
This position suits someone comfortable with hands-on work and comfortable working at heights. You'll need clear written and verbal communication skills, comfort using smartphones and tablets for reporting, and ideally some familiarity with tools. The salary range is $18–$30 per hour depending on experience.
