Essential job duties include:
- Perform comprehensive in-person assessments, leading and partnering with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to develop a personalized care plan for each participant
- Coordinate discharge for acute, short-term, and long-term placement
- No hospital rounds – focus on comprehensive care, seeing an average of 8 patients a day
Job requirements include:
- Successful completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
- Master's or doctorate Degree
- Board Certification preferred
- Active state physician license without restrictions
- State CDS certification and DEA registration
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred
We are seeking Primary Care Physicians in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Geriatrics. Must be eligible for enrollment to provide services to Medicare and Medi-Cal participants. Board certification preferred.

The position suits physicians from Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Geriatrics backgrounds who hold an ACGME-accredited residency and active state licensure. You'll need state CDS certification, DEA registration, and CPR/First Aid certification (preferred at hire, required within 180 days). Board certification is preferred. The role demands Medicare and Medi-Cal eligibility.
Compensation ranges from $280,738 to $330,595 annually, plus quarterly bonuses. WelbeHealth prioritizes provider wellbeing with standard Monday–Friday hours (8am–5pm), weekends off, 17 PTO days, six sick days, twelve paid holidays, and a rotating on-call schedule limited to phone availability a few nights or weekends monthly.
