About this role
GCM Grosvenor's Fund Data Reporting and Analytics team is looking for a summer intern to support portfolio performance reporting and analysis across its private equity, infrastructure, and real estate investment divisions. You'd work in a fast-paced finance environment preparing reports for business development, marketing, and senior management—pulling data on fund performance, management fees, and carried interest, then presenting it through tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and Excel. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments across the firm to gather information and managing competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
This internship suits someone pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business analytics with strong quantitative skills and Excel proficiency. You'll need demonstrated analytical thinking, the ability to communicate complex information clearly, and the discipline to catch errors in your own work. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working extended hours when projects demand it—someone who thrives in a structured but dynamic setting and can juggle requests from different teams simultaneously.
The position is based in Chicago and runs at an annualized rate of $65,000 to $70,000. Note that interns do not receive health insurance, paid time off, or 401(k) contributions, and you must already be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
