About this role
Keeley Construction's Civil Infrastructure Group in St. Louis is seeking an intern-level Project Engineer who will take on substantial coordination and documentation responsibilities across active construction projects. You'll work directly with project teams, subcontractors, designers, and owners to manage correspondence, maintain detailed records, track submittals and requests for information, and communicate scope changes and their impacts. This is a hands-on role that requires full-time travel and presence on job sites.
The position calls for a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, with prior internship experience in heavy civil work—sitework, concrete, grading, or wastewater projects—ideally involving similar coordination and documentation tasks. You'll need to be comfortable with OSHA compliance, meeting participation, and the administrative rigor that construction projects demand. This role suits someone ready to learn the operational side of civil infrastructure delivery and willing to be mobile throughout the project lifecycle.
