Description

Join Our Team as a Project Scheduler!
📍New Florence, Missouri | Relocation Assistance Provided

Slifco Electric
is a premier electrical contracting firm serving the Automotive, Heavy Industrial, and Mission Critical sectors. We specialize in both ground-up construction and major renovations, managing electrical packages ranging from small service work to multi-million-dollar installations.

Slifco Electric is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our project management team and help drive the planning and scheduling of high-visibility projects. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong Primavera P6 skills, construction sequencing experience, and the ability to manage complex schedules independently.

The Role:
As a Project Scheduler, you will support the scheduling function from development through execution, providing critical visibility into project timelines, resource needs, and schedule performance. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and General Contractors to ensure schedules reflect field realities and support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and update CPM schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring clean logic (FS/SS/FF relationships, minimal improper lag) and structured WBS alignment with GC master schedules.
  • Develop schedules that reflect field-driven construction sequencing, particularly for MEP, electrical, and heavy industrial scopes.
  • Independently manage portions of project schedules, supporting GC-driven environments (experience with Walbridge, DPR, or similar is a plus).
  • Run and interpret schedule analytics, including Longest Path, float analysis, and variance vs baseline.
  • Support resource loading and manpower forecasting as needed.
  • Prepare monthly schedule narratives, update summaries, and client-facing reports.
  • Maintain structured schedule discipline: document constraints, protect schedule integrity, and avoid artificial float.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency (CPM required).
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path vs Longest Path.
  • Solid experience in construction sequencing, ideally in mission critical, industrial, or data center projects.
  • Ability to independently own a project schedule and confidently present schedule logic in client/OAC meetings.
  • Familiarity with resource loading and forecasting.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reporting and schedule narratives.
  • 3+ years of construction scheduling experience.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to build a scheduling function that operates independently and scales with high-visibility projects
  • Exposure to large, complex projects and leading GC-driven construction environments
  • Collaborative culture where your expertise is valued and your growth is supported

About this role

Slifco Electric is building out its scheduling function and looking for someone to own project timelines across complex electrical and industrial construction work. You'd be developing and maintaining Primavera P6 schedules for projects ranging from service work to multi-million-dollar installations, working directly with project managers, superintendents, and general contractors to keep schedules grounded in field realities. The work spans ground-up construction and major renovations in automotive, heavy industrial, and mission-critical sectors—environments where schedule discipline and clear logic matter significantly.

This role demands advanced P6 skills and genuine construction sequencing expertise, particularly for MEP and electrical scopes. You'll need to independently manage portions of schedules, run analytics like Longest Path and float analysis, and produce monthly narratives and client-facing reports. Experience with major GC firms like Walbridge or DPR is valued, as is familiarity with resource loading and forecasting. The position requires at least three years of scheduling experience and the confidence to present schedule logic to clients and design teams.

If you're looking to build something rather than maintain the status quo, this could be the right fit. Slifco is explicitly offering the chance to develop a scheduling function that scales with high-visibility projects, in a collaborative environment where your expertise is central to how the company operates.
