Atakapa Services, LLC. (A Waggoner Company) specializes in evaluating, maintaining and designing rehabilitation methods for sanitary sewer and storm drain infrastructure. We work with municipalities, wastewater utility contractors and engineering firms to inspect, clean, and rehabilitate their underground wastewater and drainage infrastructure. We provide a comprehensive range of services and reports to help our clients address the most complex sewer and storm drain operation and maintenance problems.
Key Responsibilities
Other requirements include being able to display leadership and organizational skills to run job site effectively and efficiently. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn is key.

About this role
Atakapa Services is looking for someone to operate CCTV equipment on sewer inspection jobs across the Birmingham area while managing crew activities on site. You'd be working 10-hour shifts at various municipal construction locations, responsible for both the technical operation of the CCTV van and the organizational leadership needed to keep jobs running smoothly. The role demands strong communication skills, basic computer competency, and the ability to work efficiently across different job sites—this isn't desk-based work.
The ideal candidate has at least a year of hands-on experience in sewer CCTV, plumbing, or municipal construction. A Class B CDL and prior plumbing experience are particularly valued. You'll need a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check. The position pays $24–$30 per hour and is full-time, in-office (on-site at job locations).
