About this role
DWC Mechanical's Tampa operation is expanding, and they're seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Installers to join a 30-year-old company known for dependable workmanship and strong customer relationships. You'd handle the full scope of commercial HVAC installation—from reading blueprints and installing equipment, ductwork, gas lines, and controls through project startup and closeout. The role requires you to work independently while coordinating with project managers, foremen, inspectors, and subcontractors, and to identify and communicate field issues promptly. Depending on your experience level, you may also mentor less-experienced installers.
This position suits someone with solid commercial HVAC installation experience who can troubleshoot problems, read technical drawings, and maintain reliability on the job. The company offers year-round work at $25–$40 per hour (based on experience), comprehensive benefits including health insurance with dental and vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development support. EPA 608 and OSHA 10 certifications, along with trade school or apprenticeship training, are preferred but not required. If you're looking for steady commercial work with a stable employer and a clear path toward lead or foreman responsibilities, this is worth considering.
