About this role
Helpr is seeking an occasional babysitter for a 4-month-old in the Raleigh area, with backup care needed one to three times monthly on weekend evenings (Friday through Sunday, 3PM to 9PM). This is an intermittent role with no guaranteed hours, so it suits someone who needs flexible, part-time work rather than consistent full-time employment. The position starts immediately and is intended as long-term.
The role involves standard infant care—diaper changes, bottle feeding, age-appropriate play and storytelling, and light tidying related to the baby. The family has two cats and a medium-sized dog (friendly but put away during care hours), so comfort around pets is necessary though no pet care is required. You'll need a minimum of two years of paid professional infant care experience, current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it, a high school diploma, and the ability to provide two professional childcare references and pass a background and social media screening. The pay is $28 per hour.
This opportunity works best for someone with solid infant care experience who values flexibility and doesn't require predictable weekly hours. Since availability is not guaranteed and shifts are occasional, you should be comfortable with income variability and only apply if you can genuinely accommodate the family's unpredictable scheduling needs.
