About this role
SMX is looking for an Oracle Fusion Financials Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between financial business needs and technology solutions. You'll work on implementations and enhancements across Oracle Fusion modules—GL, AP, AR, FA, and others—translating stakeholder requirements into functional specifications and guiding technical teams through delivery. The role encompasses the full project lifecycle: requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, test strategy development, UAT support, and post-implementation troubleshooting, plus training and process improvement recommendations.
This contract position requires at least three years of hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion or Cloud Financials, paired with a solid grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting. You'll need to be comfortable with Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, FRS) and skilled at creating functional documentation and solution mapping. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field is required. The role is hybrid, based out of Philadelphia but supporting offices in Newtown PA, Herndon VA, or Boston MA, and involves travel.
The salary range is $87,600–$130,000. SMX offers health insurance, paid leave, and retirement benefits as part of a competitive package. Oracle Cloud certifications, experience with integrations and data migration, large-scale ERP implementation background, or exposure to public sector or financial services work would strengthen your candidacy.
