About this role
Hellbender Inc., a Pennsylvania-based Benefit Corporation focused on AI-enabled computing sensors and onshore manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of hardware and software products from concept through production launch. This hybrid contract role in Pittsburgh requires someone with 10–15 years of experience managing technical programs in hardware or electronics manufacturing who can coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and executive stakeholders. You'll be accountable for program schedules, budgets, risk management, and cross-functional alignment in a multi-shift production environment, with particular responsibility for new product introduction activities and compliance with export control and government contracting requirements.
The position demands strong program management fundamentals—fluency with methodologies like Agile and Stage-Gate, proficiency in tools such as MS Project or Jira, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs without direct authority. You'll prepare integrated schedules and risk registers, facilitate design and milestone reviews, coordinate vendor and supply chain activities, and escalate issues appropriately. Equally important are communication skills sharp enough to present technical and schedule information clearly to both engineering teams and senior leadership.
Hellbender offers competitive salary, full premium coverage for health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and families, a 5% Safe Harbor 401(k) match, five weeks of paid time off, and a flexible hybrid schedule. The company is intentionally building an inclusive workplace and prioritizes internal advancement as it grows.
