Description

Clinical Recruiter
Nashville, TN

Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary
Reports To: Chief of Staff

Overview

Peregrine Health is seeking a Clinical Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting for the behavioral health clinicians who deliver our care. Hiring will primarily focus on psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, and psychiatrists.

The Clinical Recruiter owns searches from initial outreach through accepted offer, including sourcing, candidate assessment, interview coordination, closing, and pipeline management. This person will independently manage multiple searches and build the recruiting pipelines required to meet provider hiring plans across Peregrine's markets.

Provider capacity directly determines Peregrine's ability to serve patients, meet partner commitments, launch new markets, and grow revenue. The Clinical Recruiter is responsible for converting provider hiring plans into accepted offers and giving leadership clear visibility into the pipeline. Strong performance means Peregrine has the clinicians it needs, in the markets where they are needed, when that capacity is required, and that risks related to candidate supply, compensation, or hiring pace are identified early enough to act.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing

  • Build and execute sourcing campaigns for passive and difficult-to-find clinicians.

  • Develop candidate pipelines by specialty, license, state, and market.

  • Maintain an informed view of clinician availability, compensation expectations, licensure constraints, and competitor activity in assigned markets.

  • Identify new sourcing channels and approaches when existing pipelines are insufficient.

Full-Cycle Recruiting

  • Manage searches from intake through accepted offer, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer coordination, closing, references, and handoff to onboarding and credentialing.

  • Translate provider hiring plans into recruiting activity by license, specialty, state, and market.

  • Manage multiple active searches while maintaining pace and candidate experience.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and provide clear forecasts against hiring targets.

Candidate Assessment

  • Evaluate clinical candidates against licensure requirements, post-licensure experience, specialty, community health experience, multi-state eligibility, and the demands of Peregrine's care model.

  • Assess motivation and alignment with Peregrine's mission, pace, and operating model.

  • Provide hiring leaders with clear assessments of candidate fit.

Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Partner with hiring leaders to define requirements and maintain momentum throughout each search.

  • Provide market feedback on candidate availability, compensation, and hiring difficulty.

  • Flag unclear requirements, compensation misalignment, interview delays, or other issues that put hiring plans at risk.

  • Drive timely decisions and next steps throughout the recruiting process.

Recruiting Performance

  • Track pipeline volume, conversion, time in process, offer acceptance, and hires against plan.

  • Identify where searches are falling behind and adjust sourcing activity accordingly.

  • Provide leadership with a clear view of recruiting progress and risks to future provider capacity.

  • Use recruiting data to identify bottlenecks and improve the effectiveness of the hiring process.

Qualifications

Required

  • Three or more years of full-cycle healthcare recruiting experience, independently managing searches fro

About this role

Peregrine Health is building out its behavioral health clinician workforce across multiple markets, and this role owns that mission end-to-end. You'll manage full-cycle recruiting for psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, and psychiatrists—sourcing passive candidates, screening, coordinating interviews, negotiating offers, and closing hires. The work is directly tied to business outcomes: the clinicians you bring in determine whether Peregrine can serve patients, meet partner commitments, and launch new markets. You'll independently juggle multiple searches while maintaining accurate pipeline data and forecasting against hiring targets, giving leadership clear visibility into progress and risks.

Success requires both recruiting discipline and market expertise. You need to understand licensure requirements, multi-state eligibility, compensation expectations, and competitor activity in your assigned markets well enough to flag when hiring plans are misaligned with reality. You'll partner closely with hiring leaders to translate their plans into sourcing strategy, push back when timelines or compensation don't work, and adjust tactics when pipelines thin out. The role demands strong data discipline—tracking conversion, time in process, and hires against plan to identify bottlenecks and improve the process over time.

This is an in-office position in Nashville reporting to the Chief of Staff. You'll need at least three years of full-cycle healthcare recruiting experience managing searches independently. The role suits someone who combines recruiting fundamentals with healthcare knowledge and isn't afraid to challenge hiring leaders when the market reality doesn't match their plans.
