About this role
Roblox is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own the subscription business as a core growth engine for the platform. In this role, you'll set the long-term strategy for Roblox Premium—defining the subscriber value proposition, pricing, tiering, and multi-year product direction—while driving acquisition, retention, and international expansion as a true business owner. You'll ship new subscriber benefits by partnering across nearly every team at Roblox, work directly with developers to build creator-led subscription offerings, and run a rigorous experimentation program to validate decisions at scale.
This is a player-coach position that demands both strategic vision and hands-on execution. You'll own the full metrics picture—from subscriber penetration and cohort retention through to bookings—and communicate business impact to executive leadership while mentoring other PMs and raising the bar for strategy and execution across the monetization group. The role requires deep expertise in consumer subscriptions and growth, principal-level experience driving cross-company initiatives through teams you don't own, and a technical, data-driven approach to product development. You should be comfortable making calls with incomplete information, persuading across organizational lines, and balancing strong opinions with flexibility.
The position is based in San Mateo, California with in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday, and offers a salary range of $330,950–$383,120 plus equity and benefits. You'll need 5+ years of product management experience with demonstrated expertise in subscription and growth products, strong growth experimentation skills, and ideally background in marketplace, platform, or creator-economy models.
