Description
Company Overview:
Beam Therapeutics is a biotechnology company committed to establishing the leading, fully integrated platform for precision genetic medicines. To achieve this vision, Beam has assembled a platform with integrated gene editing, delivery and internal manufacturing capabilities. Beam’s suite of gene editing technologies is anchored by base editing, a proprietary technology that is designed to enable precise, predictable and efficient single base changes, at targeted genomic sequences, without making double-stranded breaks in the DNA. This has the potential to enable a wide range of therapeutic editing strategies that Beam is using to advance a diversified portfolio of base editing programs. Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.

About this role
Beam Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director to build and lead the operational infrastructure for bringing their gene therapy treatments into clinical treatment centers. You'd own the end-to-end onboarding model—from site activation and certification through training, readiness assessment, and sustained engagement—working across a complex matrix that includes commercial, medical affairs, quality, compliance, operations, and IT functions. This is a strategic execution role that requires both big-picture design thinking and hands-on problem-solving to ensure treatment centers can successfully launch and adopt Beam's therapies.
The position demands someone with at least 18 years of experience, including a minimum of five years in site onboarding within biotech or pharma. You'll need a proven track record designing onboarding frameworks for advanced therapies like gene therapy or CAR-T, with direct experience aligning commercial strategy, key account management, and field execution. Experience in hematology, sickle cell disease, or cell and gene therapy is strongly preferred. You should be comfortable with data dashboards, CRM systems, cross-functional governance, and the operational details of getting complex programs ready to launch—and willing to travel up to 40% to support sites and training activities.
This is an in-office role based in Field, British Columbia, with a salary range of $260,000 to $320,000. It suits someone who thrives in fast-paced biotech environments, can influence across teams without direct authority, and wants to directly shape how a precision medicine company scales its treatment network.
