About this role

# About This Role

This is a senior client-facing position at MarketAxess, where you would own relationships with major institutional investors in the UK fixed-income market and drive both trading volume and revenue growth across your accounts. You'll act as the primary strategic contact for these clients, leading negotiations, conducting senior-level discussions, and identifying new business opportunities within the institutional investor base. The role combines hands-on client management with accountability for building and developing a high-performing sales team, making it suited to someone ready to step into a leadership position.

Your day-to-day work will involve deepening client engagement with MarketAxess' electronic trading platform, overseeing onboarding and training, producing client reporting, and ensuring clients are fully enabled on the system. You'll also contribute to regional sales strategy, monitor performance against targets and KPIs, and act as an escalation point for complex client issues. Success requires deep expertise in fixed-income markets, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to translate strategy into execution while maintaining rigorous governance around client documentation and regulatory requirements.

The role demands at least five years of sales or relationship management experience in financial services, a proven track record in revenue generation, and credibility in client-facing environments. You'll need to be comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven setting, with strong leadership capability, negotiation skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making. The position is based at the London office near St Paul's, with an expectation to work in-office four or more days per week.
