  • Facilitate the review, revision, and validation of process documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in drafting and formatting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related operational documentation.
  • Organize and maintain process documentation libraries and version control practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve process clarity, workflow efficiency, and documentation standards.
  • Participate in meetings and projects that provide exposure to Asset Management, Performance, Remote Operations, and NERC-related activities.

About this role

# About This Role

Silicon Ranch's Asset Operations Intern position is a documentation and process standardization role focused on building foundational operational resources for the company's growing asset management function. You'll work with Operations & Maintenance teams to document workflows, create process maps in Visio, and develop the initial O&M Playbook and Standard Operating Procedures. This is fundamentally a project-based internship centered on organizing information, creating clear documentation, and establishing consistent processes rather than hands-on technical work.

The role offers broad exposure across Asset Operations functions—including O&M, Asset Management, Performance, Remote Operations, and NERC compliance—which could appeal to someone exploring different areas within renewable energy operations. Success here requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and process-mapping tools, and the ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple stakeholders. You should be comfortable with detail-oriented work, managing competing priorities, and collaborating across teams.

This internship suits someone pursuing a degree in business, operations, engineering, or energy management who is interested in renewable energy and operational processes. Prior experience with process improvement, SOP development, or Visio is valuable but not required. The remote arrangement provides flexibility, though the role's effectiveness will depend on your ability to coordinate with distributed team members and stay organized across documentation projects.
