About this role

This HR Advisor role at Hunter Douglas involves providing hands-on employee relations support across three Dutch manufacturing sites, with primary responsibility at Leek and Hoogeveen and regular travel to Oudenbosch. You'll advise site leaders and managers on the full spectrum of HR issues—absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and employment law compliance—while ensuring adherence to Dutch legislation. The position requires you to handle complex ER cases, coach managers on best practices, and drive cultural alignment with Hunter Douglas's corporate values across the organization.

The role sits between strategic and operational HR work. You'll partner with divisional HR business partners on workforce planning and people initiatives while also executing day-to-day HR processes on the shop floor. You'll support the implementation of organizational health surveys, maintain accurate organizational structures, and stay current with employment law changes to advise the business proactively.

This position suits someone with demonstrated HR advisory experience and deep knowledge of Dutch employment law, GDPR, and HR compliance frameworks. You'll need strong mediation and conflict resolution skills, the ability to influence and coach managers at all levels, and meticulous attention to detail in legal documentation. Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems. The role demands someone who can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of compliance and accuracy.
