About Us
IMC is a research-driven trading firm where quantitative modeling, machine learning, and engineering shape how modern markets are traded. A stabilizing force in markets since 1989, we provide liquidity across trading venues, delivering the best outcome in value and risk management to investors. Using our own technology and capital, we build proprietary systems and algorithms that operate across global markets. Our researchers, traders, and engineers work as a collective, combining rapid experimentation, advanced infrastructure, and real-time feedback to turn insight into execution and execution into advantage.
About this role
IMC Trading is seeking a Quantitative Researcher to build trading signals and predictive models specifically for the Indian options market. You'll work with large datasets to uncover patterns in NSE/BSE options behavior, apply statistical rigor to validate your findings, and develop models that directly feed into live trading strategies. The role sits at the intersection of research and execution—your work moves from analysis to production with input from traders and engineers, giving you visibility into real market impact.
This position requires at least three years of quantitative research experience in Indian derivatives or options markets, strong grounding in statistics and probability, and proven ability to develop trading signals that perform. You'll need solid programming skills (Python preferred) and comfort working with time-series data at scale. The ideal candidate combines analytical depth with curiosity about market structure and inefficiencies, and thrives in collaborative environments where research directly informs strategy.
The role is based in Mumbai and requires in-office presence. IMC positions itself as a research-driven firm with proprietary technology and global market access, so you'd be joining a team where quantitative methods and engineering are central to how trading operates.
