Description

IMC is looking for an experienced Quantitative Trader to run and grow our Options trading book. If you have a strong track record managing an options book, a sharp instinct for real-time decision-making, and a disciplined approach to risk, this role could be a great fit.

You will take ownership of trading decisions and performance of the Options book, using signals, models, and tools developed in collaboration with our research and engineering teams. You will be responsible for pricing, hedging, and managing risk in real time, operating in a fast-paced environment where trading outcomes are immediate and measurable.

At IMC, trading performance is highly visible and directly tied to impact. You will play a key role in driving P&L and shaping how we compete in options market making.

You will work in a collaborative environment alongside traders, researchers, and engineers, with open idea sharing across teams, desks, and global offices.

  • Proven track record of profitability and disciplined risk management
  • Strong understanding of options theory, including Greeks, volatility, and pricing dynamics
  • Ability to make fast, high-quality decisions under pressure
  • Strong intuition for market behaviour, liquidity, and trading dynamics
  • Quantitative mindset, with the ability to effectively use and interpret models and signal

About this role

IMC Trading is seeking an experienced Quantitative Trader to own and grow their Options trading book in Mumbai. This is a full ownership role where you'll manage P&L and risk in real time, making fast trading decisions based on market conditions, volatility, and order flow. You'll work with pricing, hedging, and positioning, supported by signals and models developed collaboratively with the research and engineering teams. The role demands immediate accountability—trading outcomes are measurable and visible, and your performance directly shapes IMC's competitive position in options market making.

The ideal candidate has at least three years managing an options book at a trading firm, market maker, or financial institution, with a proven track record of profitability and disciplined risk management. You'll need strong foundational knowledge of options theory—Greeks, volatility, pricing dynamics—and the ability to make high-quality decisions under pressure. Beyond technical skill, the role values intuition for market behavior and liquidity, plus a quantitative mindset that lets you interpret and act on models effectively.

You'll operate within IMC's collaborative structure, working alongside traders, researchers, and engineers across desks and global offices. Part of the role includes mentoring junior traders and providing feedback to improve model performance. This is an in-office position in Mumbai, suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment where insight and execution directly drive results.
