Partner Tech builds and operates the integration platform that enables GetYourGuide’s partners to distribute and sell our inventory at scale, reliably and efficiently. The team works on complex, high-impact systems that connect our supply with a diverse ecosystem of partners, helping expand GetYourGuide’s reach and unlock new opportunities for growth. We focus on building scalable, resilient solutions that make it easy for partners to integrate with GetYourGuide and deliver a seamless experience to travelers around the world.
Your mission
- Lead hiring and performance management for a team of 8 engineers (senior to junior across backend and frontend), setting a high bar for talent and enabling engineers to grow and perform at their best
- Partner closely with the Product Manager in a highly collaborative setup to shape and deliver the roadmap and strategy, driving business results across a large, complex domain end-to-end
- Foster a culture that thrives in ambiguity, embraces experimentation, and continuously evolves based on learnings
- Drive technical excellence and own and raise the system health of the team
- Champion an experimentation mindset, leveraging data and partner insights to validate ideas and iterate quickly
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business to drive impactful initiatives

About this role
This role leads the Partner Tech team at GetYourGuide, managing eight engineers across backend and frontend disciplines while partnering closely with a Product Manager to build and operate the integration platform that connects GetYourGuide's supply with external partners at scale. You'll own both the hiring and performance management side—setting talent standards and supporting engineers at all levels—and the technical strategy side, ensuring the platform remains reliable, resilient, and easy for partners to integrate with. The work spans a complex domain with high business impact, requiring you to navigate ambiguity, champion experimentation backed by data and partner insights, and drive cross-functional initiatives that unlock growth opportunities.
The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader comfortable with full-stack systems and a people-first approach to team building. You'll need strong product judgment to prioritize roadmap decisions based on different partner needs rather than individual consumer use cases, the ability to engage meaningfully across both backend and frontend, and experience applying AI technologies in product development. This is a role for someone who can empower engineers without micromanaging, thrive in international collaboration, and bring a newly-formed team together around shared ways of working.
The position is hybrid based in Zurich or Friesland (Netherlands), with three in-office days per week and flexibility to work remotely up to 30 days annually. Benefits include a personal growth budget, mentorship programs, transportation and fitness allowances, and company-wide events.
