About this role
This Technical Account Manager role at Okta sits at the intersection of customer success and deep technical problem-solving. You'd own mid-market and enterprise customer relationships, acting as the primary technical advisor alongside Customer Success Managers. The work centers on auditing and optimizing Okta configurations across Workforce Identity Cloud and Customer Identity Solutions, conducting security health checks, and guiding customers through complex identity architecture decisions in hybrid and on-premise environments. You'll be expected to move fast—resolving escalations, eliminating implementation friction, and translating technical guidance into measurable business outcomes like reduced churn and increased product adoption.
The role demands substantial IAM expertise and a track record in technical account management or related fields like solutions architecture or technical consulting. You'll need at least five years in IT overall, with three years specifically in TAM or comparable hands-on IAM work.
