# About This Role

Sparksoft is seeking an experienced Tools Administrator to manage and evolve their enterprise Agile and collaboration platforms—primarily Jira, Confluence, and GitHub Enterprise. This is a leadership position requiring you to oversee platform administration, governance, integrations, and reliability while coordinating across multiple technical teams including automation engineers, security specialists, and infrastructure professionals. You'll be responsible for planning upgrades, establishing operational practices, managing API integrations, and driving automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead.

The role demands deep hands-on expertise in Atlassian administration combined with broader platform engineering knowledge. You'll need at least seven years in IT/platform administration and four years specifically with enterprise Jira and Confluence, plus working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and enterprise identity systems. Experience with REST APIs, scripting, SSO/MFA integration, and troubleshooting at scale is essential. This position suits someone who can balance technical depth with communication skills—you'll document standards, guide teams, and keep stakeholders informed through significant platform changes.

Sparksoft serves government clients and values innovation and problem-solving. The role is hybrid and based locally in Maryland, with standard full-time employment benefits including competitive compensation, flexible time off, comprehensive health coverage, and professional development opportunities.
