About this role

Roblox's Manager, Editorial role is a hands-on copywriting and content strategy position within the Corporate Communications team. You'll develop clear, compelling messaging across multiple audiences—press, users, and creators—on topics ranging from product innovations and AI to safety and the creator community. The work involves close collaboration with marketing, communications, product, and executive partners to align on strategy and messaging, then translating that alignment into polished copy that serves the company's broader mission.

This role demands strong project management and stakeholder skills as much as writing ability. You'll manage multiple assignments across different approval cycles and deadlines while maintaining high quality, handle conflicting feedback diplomatically, and bring disparate teams to consensus on messaging direction. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Editorial and requires at least five years of professional writing experience, ideally from communications, PR, journalism, or speechwriting backgrounds, plus a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field.

The role is based in San Mateo and requires in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday. The salary range is $186,620–$228,550, with equity compensation and full benefits included. This is a full-time position best suited for someone who thrives on iterative writing, values clarity and precision, and can operate independently while managing complex cross-functional dynamics.
