About this role
Lab37 Robotics is building software to power robotic food production systems, and this full stack role sits at the intersection of that hardware and the operational systems restaurants need to run it. You'd own both frontend and backend development across the entire stack—from the web interfaces that let operators configure and monitor kitchen robots, to backend services that integrate with delivery platforms and manage orders. The work spans cloud infrastructure, on-robot control panels, and cross-team collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and robotics engineers to make all the pieces work together.
The role calls for solid backend chops in Go or C++ and frontend skills in Vue3 or Svelte with TypeScript. You should be comfortable writing design documents, working with AWS services, and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to translate operational problems into code. Experience with Docker, Protobuf, and testing frameworks is valued, along with data analysis tools if you have them. This is a full-time, in-office position in Pittsburgh requiring five days per week onsite, with a base salary of $130,000–$160,000 plus equity and performance bonuses.
This role would suit someone who enjoys full stack ownership, wants to work on a concrete product with real operational constraints, and thrives in a collaborative environment where you're regularly talking to product, culinary, and engineering teams to solve problems together.
